The Noosa Photographer

Noosa’s Photographer ~ Dr Jandamarra Cadd

Collaborating with Dr Jandamarra Cadd, a deeply respected Aboriginal portrait artist, was not just a creative project—it was a cultural and spiritual honour. This session was grounded in trust, respect, and a shared purpose: to create powerful imagery for a private body of work connected to sacred women’s business.

This special commission required sensitivity, intuition, and professionalism. As a Noosa-based photographer, I approached every part of this collaboration with the utmost care—ensuring the environment, flow, and final product all aligned with the project’s deeper meaning.

While the photographs from this session will remain private, their impact is anything but. These images are part of a powerful cultural narrative, and it’s been a privilege to contribute through my lens.

“From start to finish and all in between, the experience with Rebecca Colefax was a very positive one. I loved the direct open communication that came from all our interactions, and the professionalism that accompanied this. I am so very happy with the results. I have so many pictures that are my favourites. They are absolutely so very beautiful and amazing. Everything from the lighting to the naturalness of the poses. Everything. And there is a whole series there…!! Far out.

Rebecca is magic and amazing at what she does, and she has contributed to something I feel will be very powerful medicine for our community locally, nationally, and globally. So very honoured for her work and grateful for the care and love that she has imbued into these photographs. Wowww. I love them so much and with all my heart.

Without hesitation, I would definitely recommend Rebecca, and if the opportunity arises, I would really enjoy working with her again. Thanks again for everything.

As a photographer, I believe deeply in capturing moments with intention and respect. When working on culturally sensitive projects, particularly those involving First Nations communities and sacred business, my priority is always to listen, honour boundaries, and uphold the significance of the stories being shared.

While this work cannot be shown publicly, the meaning it holds speaks volumes. I am truly humbled to have been trusted to capture such sacred imagery.

If you have a project that requires professional, culturally aware photography, I’d love to speak with you. Whether your vision is personal, creative, or community-based, I offer a calm, confidential, and collaborative process that respects your story.
